So far most books concentrating on the environmental beauty of the Top End have concentrated on areas located close to the main population centres. These well-recognised areas are an important feature of any photographic book. However, it is the magnificence of the remote regions of the Top End which have inspired photographers, Col and Karen Roberts, to explore and reveal the mysteries of lesser known places. Travelling into isolated locations to photograph the dramatic contrasts of the Top End is not a simple task. Climate, distance and difficult access can be unforgiving companions.
